The idea
Most teleprompters end up in the shot the second you share your screen or press record. Cuelens opts out of screen capture at the system level, so it is simply not in the frame. You keep your words. Your audience keeps their eyes on you.
One honest exception: a camera physically pointed at your screen can still see it, and no software will ever change that. Anything that runs on your Mac, though, comes up clean.

Cuelens has its own invisible chat that reads your open script. Draft from bullets, tighten a paragraph, shorten to a time budget, or change the tone. Keep the reply in the chat, or send it onto your teleprompter and read it straight to camera. Either way it stays hidden from the recording, and you bring your own key.
Mark a spot in your script and the panel glides there on its own, into a corner for a demo, wide for a monologue, then back, the moment you reach the line. Save any layout as an arrangement and bring it back with a quick key.
Switch any document to notes for bullets, numbered lists, and checklists you tick off as you land each point. For the talks you know cold but do not want to fumble.

Yes. The panel opts out of screen capture at the macOS level, so it is absent from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Loom, QuickTime, OBS, screen recordings, and screenshots. The one exception is a separate camera physically pointed at your display, which no software can prevent.
Not the way they can with a side monitor or a teleprompter app. Cuelens sits right under your camera, so your eyes stay on the lens instead of drifting off to the side, and since the panel never shows up in the capture, there is nothing in the frame to give it away. What people see is you, holding their gaze.
Those live inside your capture: whatever you can see, your recording sees too. Cuelens is the opposite. The prompter opts out of capture at the system level, so it sits right there on your screen while you read but never lands in the video. Invisible where it counts, present where you need it.
Yes, with all of them, because Cuelens never touches your camera feed or your capture. It is a separate layer on your screen, so it runs alongside OBS, Streamlabs, Zoom, Meet, Teams, Loom, and any virtual camera. No plugins, no rewiring your setup.
No. Cuelens draws a light native panel and reads your script. It does not encode, capture, or sit anywhere in your video pipeline, so your frame rate and recording quality are exactly what they were before you opened it.
Cuelens never charges you for the AI. You bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic key and pay the provider directly for what you use, which for a script is usually a few cents. There is no AI subscription from us on top, and your key stays on your Mac in the Keychain, never passing through us.
Then leave it off. Cuelens is a full teleprompter and notes app without ever adding a key. The AI is there for the moments you want a line reworked or a question answered on the spot, and completely absent the rest of the time.
Yes. Pair your phone as a remote and run the whole take from your hand: play, pause, pace, and jump, while you stay on camera and never reach for the keys. You can also let the script drive itself, so the panel moves on cue from the lines you wrote, gliding to a corner or going wide the moment you reach a spot, and much of a take needs no input at all. (Prefer the keyboard? Hotkeys and quick keys do the same from your Mac.)
Your scripts and notes are stored locally. The only thing that ever leaves is a prompt you send to the AI, and that goes straight to the provider you chose, with your key. Cuelens has no account and no server holding your content.

Not yet. Cuelens is Mac only today, and a Windows version is coming soon: it is on the roadmap, built to bring the invisible teleprompter, notes, and AI with it. Request an invite and we will let you know the moment it lands.
Applications are open now and invites go out in August, so you will hear from us this month. If you are picked you will get an email with the download and your own invite code. The beta itself runs through September, and Cuelens is free for all of it. At launch there is a free tier and a Pro subscription, billed monthly or annually, with pricing confirmed before then.
They stay exactly where they are. Your scripts and notes live on your Mac, not on our servers, and the release reads the same files. The beta build stops opening on 1 October, and installing the release picks up everything you wrote.
Every feature is unlocked for testers, including the paid ones, so please push on all of it: the invisible teleprompter, notes and checklists you tick off while you talk, the AI chat with your own key, script choreography that moves the panel on cue mid-take, saved layouts you recall with a number key, and the phone remote. Use it for something real, a call, a recording, a demo, an interview, then tell us what broke or felt wrong. The reports that help most are whether the panel stayed out of your recording, whether installing and the first run went smoothly, and anything that felt slow or confusing. A sentence and a screenshot is plenty.
